Easy Basic Chaffle
Chaffles…They are the new craze. Delicious, crunchy, land low carb, they have become fast favorites for those on a ketogenic diet or those who prefer a great bread alternative.
In my search for the perfect recipe, I made close to one hundred chaffles trying to find the right combination. Some were to “cheesy”, some were too “eggy” (if that’s even a word). I had my kids and husband taste test and rate every single attempt. When I got their approval, I knew that I had to share.
The magic about this recipe is that it is my foundation recipe. From this recipe, I can just make small changes to satisfy any chafe request. So let’s cut to the chase, here is my easy, basic recipe.

Easy Basic Chaffles
Ingredients
1 egg
1/3 cup of shredded mozzarella
1 TBSP of almond flour (or any low carb flour)
your favorite seasoning to taste
Instructions
Heat waffle maker following manufacturer’s directions.
Mix all ingredients a bowl.
Pour into waffle maker and cook until there is minimal steam coming from your waffle maker.
Tips
For a crisper chaffle sprinkle cheese on waffle maker before and after adding the mixture.
Try favorite seasoning…Everything But The Bagel Seasoning.
